Life Skills & Transition Support
At Angelonia Care, we know that growing your independence isn’t just about learning new skills - it’s also about having the confidence to apply them when life changes. Our Life Skills & Development combined with Life Stage & Transition Support is designed to help you build abilities, strengthen confidence and navigate change all at the same time.
While life skills support focuses on developing your practical, social and personal abilities, transition support ensures you can apply those skills when moving house, starting a new program, or entering a new environment. Together, they work hand-in-hand to give you the tools and guidance you need to manage everyday life and adapt to new challenges with confidence.
With our combined support, we can help you:
Develop practical independence – plan and prepare meals, manage laundry and organise your home while learning to do these tasks confidently on your own.
Build social and communication skills – practise expressing your needs, solving problems and interacting with others in a range of settings.
Navigate life transitions – whether it’s moving home, starting new programs or joining community activities, we help you adjust safely and confidently.
Plan and implement new routines – apply your life skills to manage changes in schedules, environments or responsibilities.
Set goals and track progress – we work with you to identify personal goals, practice skills in real-life scenarios and build confidence along the way.
Our support workers guide you without taking over tasks. We encourage hands-on assistance and strategies that help you learn, practice and apply your skills wherever and whenever you need them.
